STEP 1 - Choose

If you are interested in knowing about the different types of HOSA Competitive Events, please check out General Competitions Info and click on where it says "2024-2025 Competitive Events".

Please fill out the Best-Fit Test by Friday, October 14th, 2025, at 1:45 PM. After you fill out this Google Form, our Competitions Team will assess your strengths and weaknesses to determine which competitions would best fit your interests.

If the information provided on the Google Form is still not enough for our Competitions Team to make their recommendations, you will receive an email from our Competitions Team to set up a 15-minute zoom call to learn more about you.

Once our Competitions Team makes their recommendations, they will send you an email ASAP. You will have 48 hours to email back your confirmed interest. If you do not respond within 48 hours, that indicates you are no longer interested in participating in HOSA's Competitive Events and so we will offer that opportunity to another member.

STEP 2 - Prepare

After the Competitions Team receives your Regionals Dues, you will receive an email ASAP with studying materials and a study plan to prepare for your Regionals Exam.

Our Competitions Team will email you weekly to check how far you have gotten into the study plan.

Studying Tips:

Prioritize UNDERSTANDING the content, then MEMORIZE

Block time every week until Testing Day just for HOSA exam prep

Consistently review Quizlets that are attached along with every unit

Time yourself when taking Practice Tests on your own

3 weeks before the conference, mock exams for your competitive event will be administered in Patton Cafe or Dr. Murphy's Room, G111.

STEP 3 - Finalize

Within a week after taking your mock exam, you will receive an email with your results and a scanned copy of your mock exam. If you'd prefer the physical copy of your mock exam, stop by at G111.

If you scored above a 90% on your mock exam, CONGRATS! All you need to do now is just review so you don't forget the content.

If you scored below a 90% on your mock exam, you will have 48 hours to complete the following tasks:

Fill out the Google Form to determine where you went wrong

Thoroughly look through your mock exam
Determine what your strengths and weaknesses are
Reply to our email

If you need any assistance in figuring out your strengths and weaknesses, please reply to our email and our Competitions Team will get back to you shortly.

Once we receive your Google Form and your reply, our Competitions Team will provide you with additional resources and a new study plan.

Until Southern Regional Leadership Conference, our Competitions Team will continue to email you weekly to check how far you have gotten into the study plan.
